Acupuncture is a form of Chinese medicine that has been practiced for centuries. It’s based on the theory that energy, called chi (say “chee”), flows through and around your body along pathways called meridians. Acupuncturists believe that illness occurs when something blocks or unbalances your chi. Acupuncture is a way to unblock or influence chi and help it flow back into balance. Acupuncture is done by putting very thin needles into your skin at certain points on your body. This is done to influence the energy flow. Journeys offers multiple drop-in Yoga classes for all levels. This class is a true beginner’s class or for those returning to yoga and wishing to slow down their pace. Focus is on breathing, balance, stretching, and releasing tension. This slower paced class offers a gentler flow, which aids in releasing muscles with gentle ease. Wellness Coaching is a confidential partnership, which empowers clients to reach their true potential in life. The relationship works because the coach provides non-judgmental accountability, and a slight motivational push toward continued success.
Journeys Healing & Wellness Center provides individual coaching sessions and workshops focused on supporting positive life style changes for youth, adults, and families. Individual coaching may be either in-person or telephonic.
